The D’Angelo brothers have established a small vineyard on the outskirts of the Yarra Valley, however, for this wine they have sourced grapes from Langhorne Creek. The wine has spent 13 months in a combination of new and old French oak. Very deep purple mauve colour. Pronounced aroma of cedar and toasted oak, followed by a liquorice end note. The palate displays generous ripe fruit flavours with plum being dominant followed by spice, blackpepper and a touch of mint (which is a characteristic of Langhorne Creek Shiraz). Perfect balance, followed by an aftertaste of mint, plum and liquorice.
