2001 Crate No 31 Chardonnay

This wine is difficult to swallow. Bright straw colour, very advanced for a 2001 white. Strong aroma of cinnamon, vanilla and spice - the oak derived notes are too dominant. On the palate, vanilla citrus flavours with again very dominant cinnamon oak. Soft acid finish, followed by very long overstated oak aftertaste. Drink. (2001)
