2001 Cobaw Ridge Shiraz Viognier

An outstanding example of the blend, with a very distinctive nose and flavour that clearly demonstrates the influence of Viognier. Black purple colour with deep purple hue. Superb nose, layered with notes of ink, spice, dark cherry and blackberry, creating a rather exotic sniff. On the palate, flavours of spice, white pepper, plum, blackberry and dark cherry. Excellent palate weight with the white pepper and inky exotic fruit Viognier characteristics manifesting on the back palate – and extends well into the aftertaste. Fine dry tannins, perfectly balanced.
