2001 Cheviot Bridge CB Chardonnay

A very well made Chardonnay and without doubt the pick of the new Cheviot Bridge CB labels. Bright deep straw colour. The nose shows strong varietal and barrel ferment character. Aroma of melon, cashew and fig. On the palate the melon and fig characteristics reappear, followed by yeast lees, citrus and grapefruit. Excellent length with very spicy back palate, followed by long melon, fig and cashew aftertaste.
