2001 Capel Vale Cabernet Shiraz Merlot

Very deep crimson colour with brick red crimson hue. The nose is delicately perfumed with notes of liquorice, spice and chocolate evident. The palate is appealing but undistinguished. Confectionary, spice and blackberry flavours emerge. Soft tannins, perfectly balanced with an aftertaste of confectionary, spice, cedar and blackcurrant.

Deep crimson colour, with mauve hue. Medium body. Aroma of spice, blackcurrant and vanilla. The palate displays flavours of plum and stewed fruit, with spicy back palate flavours. Fine grained tannins. The aftertaste is very persistent, with liquorice, plum spice and stewed fruit lingering.
