An outstanding Shiraz made with the addition of 6% Mouvedre and 4% Grenache. Winemaker Rick Burge regards the wines of the Cote du Rhone as his benchmarks and endeavours to interpret the styles using dryland old vines fruit. The small addition of Mouvedre and Grenache adds complexity to the wine, which when coupled with the superb concentrated ripe fruit flavours make the Burge Family wines eagerly sought after internationally.

Opaque black crimson colour with purple mauve hue. The nose is exquisite with aroma of liquorice, violets, confectionary, blackpepper, earth and spice. The palate flavours evoke a strong Rhone influence. Full bodied, with distinct liquorice, vanilla, blackberry and plum flavours. Perfect balance with velvet tannins, followed by a very long aftertaste of spice and blackpepper.
