A good example of the blend. Medium body. Crimson colour with crimson brick red hue. Aroma of raspberry, spice and confectionary followed by a hint of stewed plum and vanilla. The palate reveals flavours of stewed fruit, followed by plum and vanilla and just a hint of leather and earth. Fine dry tannins. Aftertaste of new leather and earth.

First tasted, February 2004:
A big ‘Cotes du Rhone’ inspired Red. Very deep crimson colour with crimson hue. Aroma of liquorice, mocca, earth, spice, blackberry and black pepper. The palate reveals an ‘animal’ quality which can be found in Cotes du Rhone reds. Velvet smooth tannin structure with flavours of earth, spice, liquorice and leather over a plum, spice and animal layer. Long aftertaste of black pepper, earth, liquorice and mocca
