2001 Bouvet Ladubay Saphir Brut Vintage

The most complex of the Bouvet sparkling wines and a very consistent style. Generous creamy mousse with fine, persistent bead. The nose is more pronounced than the Bouvet Brut, expressing both vintage variation and more time on lees. Aroma of baked apple and quince, followed by nuances of toast and yeast lees. The palate flavours have a richer creamer texture, with long flavours of yeast lees, baked apple and biscuit emerging. Clean acid finish. Very long aftertaste of biscuit, baked apple and yeast lees.
