2001 Balgownie Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson brick red hue. Aroma of leather, stewed fruit and plum, followed by a confectionary endnote. The palate flavours are quite dry, with leather, spice and plum flavours emerging, followed by a hint of mint on the back palate. Fine, dry, persistent tannins – chalky, but the palate does not deliver great length or depth.
