Arranmore is a tiny 5 acre vineyard in the Adelaide Hills. The vineyard is planted on a high easterly slope at around 1800 feet above sea level on a site that was a market garden for more than a century. The vines are planted at 1 metre spacings – a technique used to minimise vigour by keeping the root system of the vines in strong competition with each other.

This is an impressive Burgundian inspired Chardonnay. Bright golden colour showing some oxidative handling. Aroma of biscuit, yeast lees, hazelnut, chestnuts and cashews. The barrel ferment characteristics are quite complex, adding much appeal to the wine. Big creamy texture. Flavours of biscuit and yeast lees followed by a trace of anise over a background of roast almond and hazelnut. Soft acid finish followed by a very long aftertaste of yeast lees, biscuit and cashews.
