2001 Arakoon Lighthouse Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured in new and old French and American oak for 20 months. The wine is medium bodied with crimson colour and crimson ruby hue. Excellent aromatic nose, with aroma of mint, blackcurrant, cedar and spice. On the palate, the distinct Cabernet flavours are evident, with mint, dark chocolate and spice over a leather, spice and stewed fruit palate. The flavours are quite advanced for the age of the wine. Fine grained soft tannins followed by an aftertaste of leather, stewed fruit and spice.
