2001 Amberley Cabernet Merlot

A relatively tight knit wine that will evolve with time. Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. Perfumed nose of mulberry, spice, confectionary, blackcurrant and mocha. The palate displays flavours of blackcurrant and mocca followed by spice and dark chocolate. Fine dry tannins. Aftertaste of mocha, blackcurrant and liquorice.

Very deep crimson colour with deep brick red hue. Aroma of mulberry, truffle, spice, liquorice, dark chocolate and blackcurrant. On the palate, flavours of stewed plum, stewed fruit and mulberry over a background of spice and dark chocolate. The tannin structure is quite firm, dry and persistent. Long aftertaste of stewed fruit, spice and blackcurrant.
