An excellent lifted nose with aroma of spice, earth, blackberry and vanilla followed by a hint of toasted oak. Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. The palate has a distinct white pepper characteristic with earth and toasted oak flavours in the background. Excellent palate weight, with fine, dry but perfectly balanced tannins, followed by long, persistent aftertaste of plum, liquorice, spice and white pepper.
