A very well made, very drinkable Koonunga Hill, but with only short term cellaring potential. Deep crimson colour with mauve edge. Aroma of spice, hints of blackcurrant and blackpepper, over a background of spice and cinnamon. On the palate, flavours of mixed berries, spice and liquorice. Fine, soft tannins, followed by a lingering aftertaste of spice and blackpepper. Cellar 2 – 3 years.
