A highly regarded cru bourgeois estate, which is owned by the proprietors of Château léoville-las-cases. It's located in the médoc ac near the commune of Saint-Yzans-de-Médoc and produces very high quality wines for a château from that area. The full-flavored wines have good structure, which allows better vintages to age for 10 to 12 years. The property consists of nearly 99 acres and produces about 20,000 cases of red wines each year. Several second labels are used by the château-Gallais-Bellevue, Lassalle, and Goudy-la-Cardonne.

Tasting Note: A deep ruby/purple color is followed by abundant aromas of sweet black currant fruit, spice box, and earth. Elegant, stylish, and moderately tannic, this 2000 should be at its finest between 2004-2011. (87-88 points)
