1999 Zema Estate Coonawarra Shiraz

Very deep crimson mauve colour. The wine has been matured for 16 months in American and French Oak. The nose is very impressive, with aroma of truffle, earth, cedar, vanilla, plum and black pepper. The palate lets the nose down - short and relatively dilute, with flavours of plum and stewed fruit, followed by earth, black pepper back palate flavours. Fine grained firmish tannins, with black pepper and stewed fruit after flavour. Cellar 3-4 years.
