1999 Yalumba Barossa Shiraz

Barossa Valley, South Australia, AUSTRALIA
$14. 99
Bottle
$179.88 Dozen
Closure: Cork

A consistent performer produced from vines with an age of between 30-50 years. The 1999 vintage is a touch lighter, but none the less a very well made, affordable wine.Medium body, crimson colour, with mauve edges. Aroma of spice, vanilla, liquorice and clove followed by ripe plum end notes. On the palate the flavours of ripe plum are to the fore, followed by spice and chocolate. The wine doesn’t have the depth or concentration that was evident in the 1998 vintage. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of chocolate, plums and spice. Cellar 3-4 years.
