1999 Wolf Blass Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz

A magnificent wine representing excellent value even at the high price tag. This is the 27th vintage of Wolf Blass Black Label and consists of a blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon and 47% Shiraz.

Very deep black crimson colour with black crimson hue. The nose is a superb sniffing experience – perfumed top notes, a very refined sniff. Wonderfully delicate, yet filled with varietal character. Aroma of ripe blackcurrant and violets followed by a hint of cedar. The palate flavours are outstanding, a mouthfilling concentrate – perfectly integrated with the oak and showing a sophisticated juxtaposition of blackcurrant and blackpepper flavours with the blackpepper component being very pronounced. Fine grained tannins, followed by a very long aftertaste of blackcurrant, dark cherry and violets.
