1999 Warburn Estate Show Reserve Cabernet Merlot
A well made wine. Opaque crimson mauve colour. The nose displays ripe aroma of plum, blackcurrant, mocca, toasted oak and spice. The palate fruit flavours are forward, dominated by plum and blackcurrant with a spicy end palate. Good weight and mouthfeel, followed by fine dry tannins and a long spice, blackcurrant and liquorice aftertaste.
Cellar 2-3 years.

Opaque crimson mauve colour, with black heart. Very appealing nose, with aroma of violets, blackcurrant and spice followed by ripe mulberry endnote. The palate is relatively short – with stewed fruit and blackcurrant being the dominant flavours. Very dry firmish tannins, which are too assertive for the fruit. Stewed fruit aftertaste with a hint of earth.
Cellar 2-3 years (2003-2004).
