1999 was a low yielding year for Tarrawarra vineyards, and as a result the Pinot displays considerably better colour than evidenced from previous vintages. Deep crimson colour with mauve edges. Lifted nose with aroma of plum, spice, stewed fruit and toasted oak followed by a strawberry end note. Good palate weight with spicy plum, beetroot and strawberry palate flavours. The tannins are a touch firm for the moment, allow the wine 2-3 years to soften. Aftertaste of spice, cherry and strawberry.
