Sergio Carlei has attempted to create a complex wine, using barrel fermentation as well as a combination of new and used French oak. Medium body, deep brick red colour. Aroma of raspberry, cherry, spice and earth, showing good varietal character. The palate has moderate length with flavours of cherry, spice, hint of liquorice, sour cherries and toasted oak. Fine grained tannins, followed by aftertaste of sour cherries.
