1999 Swan Bay Wine Co. Semillon Sauvignon Blanc

The Swan Bay label is the budget range of wines produced by Scotchmans Hill, and they certainly offer exceptional value, particularly the Semillon Sauvignon.Bright straw colour. The nose is reminiscent of Bordeaux with classic Graves like notes of confectionery and mixed green herbs. The palate has excellent weight and mouthfeel, with again a herbaceous flavour which is supported by nuances of pear and peach. Dry, with component parts being well balanced. Clean crisp acid levels with long confectionery, herb and spice aftertaste. An excellent food wine!
