1999 Sevenhill STM

The STM stands for Shiraz, Touriga and Malbec. The aroma and flavours of this wine is most unusual and will not appeal to everyone. Medium body, deep crimson colour. The nose smells of perfumed soap, stewed fruit, varnish and farmyard, with inky medicinal end notes. Most unusual. The palate, very much reflects the inky medicinal quality of the nose, and is rather unpleasant. Very dry tannins which lingers on. This is without doubt the weakest wine in the otherwise outstanding Sevenhill line up. By a bottle for curiosity’s sake. Cellar 1-2 years.
