1999 Seppelt St. Peter's Great Western Vineyards Shiraz

A mature Shiraz, drinking perfectly now or cellar for the short term. Opaque crimson black colour with brick red hue. The nose is a sniffing pleasure, displaying a sense of maturity that makes cellaring worthwhile. Aroma of confectionary, vanilla and liquorice allsorts. Mouthfilling palate with flavours of dark chocolate and intense blackpepper – quite explosive. Flavours of liquorice and earth emerge on the backpalate. Fine grained dryish tannins. Excellent length, followed by very long aftertaste of liquorice and dark chocolate.
