1999 Rymill Coonawarra Merlot Cabernet Franc Cabernet Sauvignon

The nose of this wine is very appealing, however, the palate is very firm. Very deep crimson colour. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, spice and mulberry, followed by a hint of violets. An appealing, sophisticated sniff. The palate structure is very tight, with a firm dominant tannic grip that over powers the fruit. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, plum and licquorice. Firm dry lingering tannins.
