1999 Rosemount Estate Roxburgh Chardonnay

Brilliant, pale gold colour, showing some bottle developed character, together with oxidative handling. The nose is complex, with layers of biscuit, cashew, hazelnut and yeast lees over a subtle butterscotch background. Mouthfilling palate, creamy texture. Flavours of cashews, butterscotch and yeast lees. The wine displays good length and depth, but lacks some of the power and concentration of past vintages. Aftertaste of spice, butterscotch and yeast lees. Cellar 2 – 3 years.
