This 11 hectare Estate is run by a brother and sister team - Piero and Benedetta Lanza. The vineyard is situated at Radda, in the heart of Chianti. The wine has been made from Sangiovese grapes with a touch of Merlot and aged for 12 months in French barriques. Deep crimson mauve colour. The nose is impressive, delicately perfumed, with aroma of spice, violet, plum and blackberry. On the palate, spice and leather flavour with a hint of plum and chocolate. Excellent length and mouthfeel. Fine grained dryish tannins, but in good balance, followed by long spicy aftertaste and long lingering dry tannins.
