Medium body, brick red colour. The wine has spent 12 months in French oak hogsheads and has had minimal filtration. The nose is impressive and shows a hint if marzipan over an earthy, farmyard background, followed by strawberry and spice and notes. The palate displays flavours of earth and spice, fine grained tannins, a hint of aniseed, strawberry, cherry and chocolate on the aftertaste. A good example, but without power. Cellar 2-3 years.
