1999 Penfolds Rawson's Retreat Chardonnay

An excellent fruit driven wine, and excellent every day drinking. Bright straw colour. Very peachy nose with lots of tropical fruit and spice aromas. On the palate the flavours of ripe peaches dominate, just a touch of coarseness, but nothing to worry about. Clean finish. Excellent value and it's with wine like this that Australia will continue to terrorize our International winemaking competitors. Enjoy over the next 1-2 years.
