1999 Mount Mary Chardonnay

This golden-green, brilliant wine has a rich youthful aroma and flavoursome palate already. This is derived at this stage of its life from optimally ripened grapes combined with a balancing weight of aromatics and flavour derived from oak. The phenolic content of Oak, grape skins and pips are those substances that contribute tactile sensations in the mouth. White wines need only small amounts to contribute to middle palate fullness, some firmness on the finish and wine longevity.This chardonnay is mouth filling, has both good balance and a clean finish. It is not expected to develop optimum smoothness for at least 5 years. 13% Al./Vol.
