A gold Medal winning Chardonnay. 100% barrel fermented and matured for 5 months in French oak. Brilliant, pale straw colour. Aromas of barrel ferment, yeast lees, melon, fig and butterscotch. Full bodied palate flavours with peach and melon dominant with distinct barrel ferment yeast less in the background. Soft acid finish with peach, tropical fruits and nut aftertaste. Cellar 3-4 years.

An excellent follow up to the Classic Padthaway Chardonnay vintages of '94, '97, and '98. The wine has been barrel fermented and left on yeast lees for eight months, in a combination of 80% new oak and 20% one year old French Oak.Bright pale straw colour. Excellent aroma of fig, melon and spice with a hint of butterscotch. Creamy palate texture with mouthfilling flavours of tropical fruits, melon, peach and fig. Excellent length and persistence. Soft acid finish. Cellar 3-4 years.
