THIS IS THE FINEST LEEUWIN CABERNET SINCE THE CLASSIC 1991 & 1992 VINTAGES.

The Leeuwin Cabernet takes its inspiration from the First Growth wines of Bordeaux, but sells at a fraction of their price. Very deep brick red colour. Superb nose of mocca and coffee followed by a touch of mint and anise. The palate flavours are refined, sophisticated and multilayered. Mouthfilling layers of coffee, mocca, cedar, spice, smoky oak, dark chocolate, liquorice and blackcurrant emerge. Velvet smooth tannins, with white pepper emerging on the back palate. Exceptional length followed by an aftertaste that lasts for minutes.
Cellar 3-4 years (2006-2007)
Alc/Vol: 15.0%

Other Reviews,,,,
The blockbuster 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon Art Series (86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Petit Verdot, and 3% Malbec) exhibits a Chateau Margaux-like precision. There is terrific purity, finesse, and length as well as medium to full body and intensely layered flavors nicely buttressed by acidity and tannin. As the wine sits in the glass, aromas of cedar, licorice, blackberries, and currants emerge. This sensational Australian red requires 2-3 years of cellaring; it should age for two decades.
