- Closure: Cork
Produced from Chardonnay grapes grown in the Wirau Valley. This wine has been partially barrel fermented in new and 4 year old oak, as well as undergoing a malolatic fermentation.Bright straw colour. Outstanding nose with pronounced barrel ferment aromas of nut, yeast lees and toasted oak with an underlay of butterscotch. Full bodied, with the barrel ferment characteristic being quite strong. Toasted oak, spice and pear, followed by yeast lees on the back palate and a warm finish. Soft acidity with warm aftertaste. Cellar 3-4 years.
