1999 Knights Granite Hills Cabernet Sauvignon

An impressive Cabernet from Knights – showing what can be done in a year when Cabernet reaches full maturity. Very deep crimson colour, with crimson hue. The nose has that refinement and class of cool climate Cabernet, with Bordeaux like perfumed nose. Violets, ripe blackcurrant, truffle and dark chocolate. Excellent length and persistence – a very stylish palate. Very fine tannins. Perfect balance, followed by a very long aftertaste of blackcurrant, cedar and spice. Cellar 4 – 5 years. (2005 – 2006)
