1999 John's Blend No.26 Individual Selection Cabernet Sauvignon

This is the 26th release of Johns Blend. The wine has been matured for 35 months in new French and American oak. Very deep crimson colour with deep crimson hue. The nose is impressive, displaying lifted aroma of mint, dark chocolate, spice and cedar. The palate is refined with flavours of blackcurrant and dark chocolate evident over a spice and plum background. Fine grained dry tannins, just a touch firmish for the fruit, followed by a very warm spicy liquorice aftertaste.
