Notes sourced from Mildara Blass.

The fruit to produce this wine was sourced predominantly from Mildara's own vineyards in the McLaren Vale (62%), Barossa Valley (36%) and Adelaide Hills (2%) regions in South Australia. The two dominant regions are renowned for the rich Chardonnay fruit they produce, and the inclusion of a small amount of the cool Adelaide Hills has given the wine a slight fresh lift. The wine was fermented on solids in both new French and American oak hogsheads (300 litres.) for 6 months and stainless steel tanks under temperature controlled conditions. Malo-lactic fermentation was conducted on selected parcels and blended for mouthfeel and complexity. The barrel fermented portion of the wine had extended lees contact for 6 months to encourage a creamy texture.Jamiesons Run is named after the original property where Mildara Wines was established in 1888 by the Chaffey brothers. Jamiesons Run wines have an envious reputation for quality and reliability. The Jamiesons Run Chardonnay was first released in 1989 and proved an instant success, receiving praise from both the consumer and the wine media.A medium yellow/straw colour showing vibrant green flashes introduces this premium dry white wine. The bouquet is full of peach, melon and fresh tropical fruit aromas complexed with fine cedary oak characters. On the rich, medium weight palate there is lifted fruit and toasty butterscotch flavours due to partial malo-lactic fermentation. This is a soft, complex Chardonnay with balanced acidity and great length of flavour. Cellar up to 3 years. 13.1% alcohol volume.
