1999 Herzog Selection Semi Dry White

Made from a blend of Semillon and Muscadelle, at first it could be thought to have a Sauternes like inspiration, but that is not to be. Bright straw colour. The nose is restrained, with spice notes emerging over a faint background of tropical fruit. The palate is very delicate, with subtle bottle developed characteristics emerging. Flavours of honey, ripe apple and baked apple. Clean finish.
