1999 Hawley Vineyard Pinot Noir

The wine displays excellent colour, and distinct varietal character. Medium body, crimson mauve colour. Perfumed nose of confectionery, cherry and spice followed by a hint of game – very appealing. The nose has good weight and plenty of Pinot flavour, with the Pinot flavour wave emerging. Flavours of cherry, plum and strawberries. Very soft tannins, however the acidity is just a touch on the high side, but will settle down. Very long aftertaste of cherry, spice and liquorice. Cellar 3-4 years.
