Grown on sandy soils and matured for 17 months in American oak. Very deep crimson colour, with mauve hue. Aroma of earth, leather, hints of violets and stewed fruit. The palate displays spicy, blackberry and blackpepper flavours. Firmish, dry tannin structure , followed by long aftertaste of stewed fruit, blackpepper and plum.
Cellar 3-4 years (2005-2006).
