1999 Giesen Estate Canterbury Pinot Noir

Canterbury,
$24. 99
Bottle
$299.88 Dozen
Closure: Cork

Relatively light body when compared with its peers, however, the wine displays crimson colour with a mauve edge. The nose has distinct varietal character, with aroma of cherries, raspberries and spice, followed by ripe strawberries. The palate does not display the power nor complexity that we have come to expect from top New Zealand Pinot. Delicate, cherry and plum flavours, a touch dilute on the back palate with the acid levels being a touch too high. A well made lighter style of Pinot, with strawberry and spice aftertaste. Cellar 3-4 years.
