1999 Elgee Park Baillieu Myer Family Reserve Chardonnay

An outstanding example from Elgee Park. Brilliant straw colour. The nose displays considerable complexity with excellent barrel ferment aroma overlayed by hazelnut, yeast lees and biscuit notes with a subtle butterscotch background. Mouthfilling palate with creamy texture. Flavours of hazelnut, yeast lees and biscuit with a hint of fig. Excellent persistence with a very long aftertaste of nut, yeast lees and smoky oak. Cellar 3-4 years.
