1999 Eaglehawk Shiraz Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon

The Eaglehawk wines were first released in 1988 and have always represented excellent value for money. The wines are made by the award winning winemaking team from Wolf Blass and remain consistent with the tradition of quality, varietal character and consistency.
Fruit was sourced from the company’s own vineyards and selected contract growers in premium vineyard districts in South Eastern Australia.
The three varieties were crushed separately. Traditional stainless steel fermentation techniques were employed before the wines were transferred to American oak hogsheads for barrel maturation. The separate wines were then blended and bottled.
The 1999 Eaglehawk Shiraz Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon has a bouquet of rich plum and dark red fruit characters, complexed with appealing oak overtones. The palate is of medium body, showing intense fruit character. Soft tannins help finish the wine with a dry lingering finish. Cellar 2-4 years. Alcohol: 13.3%.
