The Eaglehawk wines were first released in 1988 and have always represented excellent value for money. The wines are made by the award winning winemaking team from Wolf Blass and remain consistent with the Wolf Blass tradition of quality, varietal character and consistency.
Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes were sourced from McLaren Vale and the Barossa Valley giving the wine a full bodied character. The fruit was picked at optimum ripeness to keep the style fresh and crisp.
Following crushing, the juice was fermented in temperature controlled stainless-steel tanks. The cool fermentation assists in retaining the fresh varietal characters of both varieties.
The Eaglehawk Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is a blend of 60% Semillon and 40% Sauvignon Blanc. The fruit is sourced from regions across South Australia. The 1999 vintage is an unwooded wine with the Semillon contributing citrus aromas and crispness to the finish, while the Sauvignon Blanc offers lifted tropical and grassy characters. Drink now. Alcohol: 11.5%.
