A superb non fortified wine with an alcoholic content of 15.5%. In short this is an un-fortified vintage port but made from Grenache, and an absolutely perfect example of a sweet red wine that is suited to chocolate. Very deep brick red colour. Superb aroma of raisin cake, spice and Christmas pudding. On the palate luscious flavours of spice, liquorice and raisin cake. Mouthfilling, excellent depth and concentration with persistent back palate and aftertaste of dried raisins, liquorice and black pepper. Fine grained tannins.
Cellar 5-8 years. (2007 - 2010)
