1999 Dalwhinnie Chardonnay

Bright straw colour with green tinges, very clear. The nose is a heady mix of stone and citrus fruits, roasted nuts integrated with spicy smoky oak. The palate leads on from the nose with very attractive mineral characters, powerful varietal chardonnay fruit and a very long dry finish. This is a thoroughly enjoyable chardonnay resembling a well made Grand Cru Chablis style. A complex wine with great structure that will develop glorious honey and caramel characters given time. Enjoy now or preferably cellar for 4 - 6 years.
