A rather curious blend and not at all from the traditional classic dry white grape varieties of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc. The wine is a bit of a bitza but carries off the blend well, however, without great conviction or power. Made from 28% Sauvignon Blanc, 27% Chardonnay, 21% Verdelho, and 17% Chenin Blanc.Bright, very pale straw colour. The Sauvignon Blanc is the dominant grape, producing grassy herbaceous aromas over citrus, confectionery and spice notes. The palate flavours are positive with flavours of tropical fruits and grass, spice and citrus. Soft acid finish with aftertaste of gooseberry and tropical fruits. Cellar 2-3 years.
