Very deep crimson colour. Aromas of stewed fruit, Californian poppy, followed by notes of spice, raspberry and strawberry jam, with a touch of game on the end note. Good palate weight, with flavours of California poppy, liquorice and spice, followed by some stalky back palate flavours. Velvet smooth tannins. Persistent, stalky aftertaste. Cellar 2-3 years.
