This is the most expensive of the Clarendon Hills Grenache, and is the equivalent to Astralis. This is the high point of the varietal, and our top scoring Grenache from the collection. Medium body, crimson colour with mauve edge. Aroma of liquorice, confectionery, raspberry and marzipan. Mouthfilling palate, with very ripe fruit flavours of ripe plums and stewed fruit followed by liquorice, raspberry and spice. Excellent length with velvet smooth tannins, followed by an aftertaste of spice, liquorice, raspberry and plum. Cellar 3-4 years.
