The Hickinbotham Grenache is medium bodied, crimson colour with a mauve edge. The nose is appealing, but only of moderate intensity, with aroma of spicy toasted oak, hints of plum and confectionery. The palate displays flavours of plum, spice and liquorice, over a smoky background. Velvet smooth tannins, perfect balance, followed by an aftertaste of liquorice and spice. Cellar 3-4 years.
