GRAPE VARIETY
Syrah. Our oldest Crozes-Hermitage vines (more than 60 years old on average).

SOIL
South-westerly orientated slopes at the furthest extremity of the Hermitage slopes. Alluvium from the former bed of the Rhône.

HARVEST
Hand-harvested.

VINIFICATION
Vinification in small, closed concrete vats. Fermentation is very long and lasts about 5 weeks.

MATURING
100 % of this wine is matured in oak casks from 12 to 14 months.

TASTING
Colour : Deep garnet.
Nose :Red fruit and blackcurrant dominate, followed by aromas of violet.
Palate : Generous, powerful tannins ; finish of stewed fruits and vanilla ; fresh and fruity.
